The Davon Green Franklin Foundation is an organization dedicated to the cause of helping to ensure that United States citizens understand the hidden dangers associated with international travel. In the past the success of our event has largely been due to the contributions of our sponsors who have gone out of their way to lend financial support to this event. Every year the money we raise has been donated to the cause of increasing awareness about spring break safety.   Spring break is no longer an innocent respite from the rigors of college academics; it's potentially life threatening for many college-age students.  

 

This year we plan on donating all of our funds to our “Surviving Spring Break -101” campaign and the Davon Green Franklin Foundation Legacy Award and Scholarship.  We are hoping that you will support our event by becoming a sponsor for the upcoming event.  The purpose of the “Surviving Spring Break – 101 campaign” is to inform students of the hidden dangers of international travel as well as domestic travel. Students are given the opportunity to take the Surviving Spring Pledge and receive a pledge card. This program has reached thousands of college-age students since its implementation. Some of the college stops have included Dillard University, Tulane University, Morgan State University, University of Maryland Baltimore County, Maryland Institute College of Arts, Stevenson University, Towson State University, Howard University, and Community College of Baltimore County-Catonsville, Maryland to name a few.

 

The program is geared to pointing unsuspecting travelers directly to the State Department travel website as a first line of protection. Each year thousands of Americans travel outside of the country with the intent to go away to some exotic vacation destination for the time of their lives. And each year, the time of their lives is literally cut short.

 

As of March of 2010, over 300 American citizens have loss their lives to preventable accidents in Mexico.

 

As a sponsor, your organization is sure to receive exposure from media campaigns and all promotions for the event. You will also gain exposure from the audience attending the event. We believe that you are definitely an ideal partner for us in this venture.
